Lancashire and South Cumbria Health and Care Partnership has signed a deal for an openEHR platform for its regional medicines record

Lancashire and South Cumbria Health and Care Partnership will use the Better openEHR platform and Better Meds for the initiative, which will start by creating a single medicines record from the data held by GPs, hospitals, community and mental healthcare providers, care homes and hospices. It will then make this information available to healthcare professionals across the region, to improve care for patients who need to be transferred from one setting to another and improve efficiency and safety.
