The latest release of the Better Platform supports INTEROPen CareConnect FHIR APIs to access openEHR data

With the March 2019 release of the Better Platform, Better by Marand brings FHIR APIs for greater interoperability. This feature is part of the Better Platform and enables automatic mapping of openEHR models to FHIR resources.
Better by Marand is part of the INTEROPen organisation that brings together individuals, the NHS, industry and other stakeholders to work together on accelerating the development of open standards in the health and care sector. In order to achieve this, members of the group commit to design, validation and demonstration of open standard APIs using real systems.
Under this commitment, with the March 2019 release of the Better Platform, Better by Marand brings FHIR APIs for greater interoperability. This feature is part of the Better Platform and enables automatic mapping of openEHR models to FHIR resources. In addition, the mapping service allows for mapping of further openEHR archetypes and templates by just annotating them without any additional programming.
The initial release will include support for the following profiles defined by the INTEROPen CareConnect: Allergy Intolerance, Medication, Medication Request, and Medication Dispense. Additional profiles will be released by mid-2019.
