Eurotransplant selects Think! EHRPlatform™

Leiden, December 12, 2016 – Today, a license agreement for purchase and implementation of a clinical data application CORE (successor of the current ENIS system) was signed. Eurotransplant selected the Think!EHR Platform™ from Marand and the license agreement encompasses implementation and maintenance of software for the design, storage and exchange of clinical data, technical support and education and training. During a meeting in Leiden, the agreement was signed by Dr Peter Branger, General Director of Eurotransplant and Mr Tomaž Gornik, CEO of Marand.

Eurotransplant collects data from multiple hospitals across the EU, centrally managing a transplant patient waiting list and allocate donor organs. The clinical registry use case is the sweet spot for our vendor neutral platform approach which is based on openEHR. Eurotransplant will be able to take advantage of hosting multiple applications and data registries on the same platform while benefiting from the separation of data from applications thus preventing vendor lock-in. We clearly see clinical registries rethinking their approach to managing clinical data and believe many will follow the innovative path of Eurotransplant” said Tomaž Gornik, Marand CEO.
